Peer Review Process
Perantau: Journal of Migration, Borders, and Belonging uses a double-blind peer review process to ensure objectivity, fairness, and academic rigor.
Review Steps:
-
Initial Screening: All submissions are first reviewed by the editorial team to ensure they meet basic journal criteria (e.g., scope, formatting, plagiarism check).
-
Double-Blind Review: Eligible manuscripts are sent to at least two reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Both the reviewers and authors remain anonymous during the process.
-
Evaluation Criteria include originality, scholarly contribution, clarity, methodology, and relevance to the journal’s focus.
-
Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the editor may decide to:
-
Accept the manuscript
-
Request minor or major revisions
-
Reject the submission
-
-
Revision and Re-evaluation: Authors may be asked to revise their manuscript. Revised versions may be re-reviewed by the same or new reviewers.
The average review process takes 6–8 weeks, though this may vary depending on reviewer availability.
