We are delighted to launch the inaugural issue of Perantau: Journal of Migration, Borders, and Belonging (Vol. 1, No. 1, September 2025). This first edition features contributions from scholars in Singapore, France, and Indonesia, reflecting the journal’s international and interdisciplinary vision. The articles explore key themes such as migrant precarity, the politics of belonging, and the dynamics of borders and governance. Collectively, they enrich debates on migration in both global and regional contexts.
